Randolph R CroxtonRandolph R. Croxton, a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), was accorded this honor in recognition of his advancement of Architecture as an integration of built and natural (biological) systems. Recipient of the AIA National Honor Aard, the profession's highest award for Design Excellence, Mr. Croxton is twice the recipient of the National Leadership Award of the U.S. Green Building Council for having established the principles of Green/Sustainable Architecture in America and for his role in the founding of the National AIA Committee on the Environment. In 1994 Mr. Croxton co-authored a pivotal book in the field of Sustainable Architecture: Audubon House, on his firm's work and design methods for the Audubon Headquarters in New York City, and authored the first two federal (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Innovation Grants for Green Building Guidelines.
