The SuperstarToni Michelle Braxton was born October 7, 1967 in Severn, Maryland as the first daughter of Michael and Evelyn Braxton. Her mother's religious teachings eventually contributed to Toni's musical style as well. She discovered her singing talents as a member of the church choir, which her mother founded.
