About the Book

This is a book on antisemitism. Antisemitism is the hatred of bigotry or injustice against Jews. Following the civil emancipation of the Jews, political antisemitism became prevalent. The breakup of the Soviet Union and the insecurity of the new states in Eastern Europe have resulted in the emergence of nationalist groups and the allegation of Jews being responsible for the economic crisis. Education teaches students how to recognize antisemitic symbols and increases concern of the type, manifestations, and effect of antisemitism on Jews and Jewish cultures. According to a 2004 Jerusalem Centre for Public Relations survey, antisemites have risen dramatically in Europe since 2000, with substantial rises in verbal assaults on Jews and vandalism such as graffiti, fire bombings of Jewish schools desecration of synagogues and cemeteries. Before 1900, American Jews made up fewer than 1% of the overall population of the United States, however by 1930, Jews made up around 3.5 percent. This rise, along with certain Jews' upward social mobility, led to a revival in antisemitism.Extremist Islamic and Muslim organizations carried out the most heinous assaults on Jewish sites. The bulk of Jewish attacks arise in countries with significant numbers of young Muslim refugees. About the fact that the number of Jews in Belarus is declining, antisemitism continues. An Institute for Jewish Policy Research study conducted in 2017 discovered that antisemitic views in the United Kingdom were among the lowest. The study included clues about the source of the suspicions, with British Jews citing Islamist antisemitism, far-left antisemitism, Judaism, and far-right antisemites as their primary concerns.
