The story of an Aussie teacher, Diana, who comes to India on a Round Square exchange program, the tale chronicles Diana’s journey across the different schools she teaches at and the wealth of information she gathers from each place about all things Indian. The story takes the reader through Delhi, Shimla, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Indore, Ujjain, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Agra, and expounds on the many facets of Indian customs, legends, history, and religion.
About The Author:
Dr Sumer Singh is the Head of Daly and the Daly College Business School, and is on the Boards of Mayo College, Ajmer; MCGS, Ajmer; Round Square, London; and Indore Management Association, Indore. Though primarily a school teacher, Dr Singh has experience as company executive, consultant, and bureaucrat, and has been elected as a Chairman of hundred villages in District Ropar, Punjab.
He serves as the Honorary Secretary and Chairman designate of the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC), and as a member of the International Heads associations of G-20 and Global Connections, and is on the Advisory Board of AFS. He has also served as Head at Sanawar and Asia, as Advisor (Education) to the Govt. of Punjab, as designer for new schools like Pathways and Sanskaar, on the Board of schools like Lovedale, and as Vice President of SUTRA, a women’s organization. He has been shaped by his teachers at Welham, Doon, and St. Stephen, and by his students at Sanawar, Doon, Gordonstoun, Windermere St. Anne’s, UWC (Wales), Boxhill, Asian, and the Daly College.
This is his fourth book. His earlier ones are The History of Doon, The History of Daly, and On Comparative Religions.
