Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Praktische (Ethik, Ästhetik, Kultur, Natur, Recht, ...), Note: 2,0, Helmut-Schmidt-Universität - Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg (ISA- Zentrum), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In unserer modernen Gesellschaft spielt die Frage nach Gott und der Religion eine wichtige Rolle und ist Teil einer breiten Debatte. Diese daraus entstehende Spaltung der Meinungen, teils durch Desinteresse an der Religion, teils durch eventuelle Angst vor einer solch mächtigen Institution wie der Kirche, wird im direkten Vergleich der Angaben der Religionszugehörigkeiten in Deutschland deutlich. Zu dieser Thematik ist das statistische Bundesamt zu folgenden Ergebnissen gelangt: Im Jahr 1970 war die Zahl der katholisch bzw. evangelisch gläubigen Menschen zwölf- bis dreizehnmal so hoch, wie die der Konfessionsfreien. Vierzig Jahre später, im Jahr 2010 wird prognostiziert, dass die Zahl der Menschen ohne eine Glaubenszugehörigkeit über der, der Katholiken und Evangelisten liegt. [...] Ich werde in dieser Hausarbeit auf zwei, meiner Meinung nach, wichtige Philosophen eingehen. Zum einen werde ich auf den Franzosen René Descartes und den aus seiner Sicht gültigen Gottesbeweis zu sprechen kommen und zum anderen auf Ludwig Feuerbach und seine Auffassung der Religionskritik. Da sowohl Descartes als auch Feuerbach auf rationale Art und Weise versuchen die Existenz Gottes zu belegen bzw. zu wiederlegen, halte ich eine Gegenüberstellung beider Theorien diese Philosophen für äußerst sinnvoll. Diese soll im Schwerpunkt auf die Kriterien des Vernunftverständnisses reduziert werden. Als Grundlage für meine Untersuchungen im Bezug auf die Existenz Gottes dient mir das Werk "Abhandlung über die Methode des richtigen Vernunftgebrauchs" von René Descartes. Um über die Religionskritik urteilen zu können, ziehe ich für diesen Themenbereich ein Werk von Ludwig Feuerbach mit dem Titel "Das Wesen des Christentums" heran, in dem seine Ausführungen der Nic
