About the Book

At present human is leading a way of life in which his action leads to sorrow however sincerely we executes the work. This is because he is applying laws that are applicable to physical plane in which "doing" is relevant and so time and space, to psychological realm in which "doing" is a hindrance and only timeless "insight" solves the problems. Thought has a place in physical reality but it has no role to play in the psychological realm. But we are using thought for solving problems which are caused by thought. Ego is psychological memory and we are functioning from ego. Ego is circumscribed consciousness with conditioning. So we are facing life which is always new with past, fixed, limited conditioning. So one ego is opposed to another ego because each has its empirical goal apart from that of whole existence. Our life is thought based which has very short life span and so always seeks security. So thought weaves "me" to be secure and all its action is aimed to protect this thought woven "me". Because there are opposing thoughts in "me" human is in conflict both inside and outside. At present thought process is in the service of "me" and it has a fixed point of view in a flux of life. Either he has to continue the old pattern of living which resulted in present chaos or start a new way of living together based on love without any goal. Can we act without any goal? This is possible when we act spontaneously without any end result in view. Unfortunately we are conditioned as separate human beings just because we have a separate body allotted to us. But it is an obvious fact that human wherever he lives has same contents in psyche. When we understand this study of one human mind amounts to studying the whole human consciousness. We can inquire into our own subject which is similar and a sample to all human beings. Once we know the implications of functioning from the contents of mind, we no longer indulge in such limited action which leaves a residue which knocks our door for resolution causing immense sorrow. This is due to identity to adjuncts which are evolutionary products of time and space. When we start acting spontaneously from consciousness without identity to past. This brings freedom, joy, love, compassion and we become synchronous with whole existence whose nature is awareness and bliss.
About the Author: Author is a pediatrician from Indis practising self-inquiry from the past 30 years and wrote 60 books on the subject and this is one of them. He feels that we have to change the means of action to have radical transformation of human mind. Our action is result oriented and so always we seek security. We don't do action for action sake and thinking for sake.We never think without an end in view. We never act without an end in view. This produces outer and inner conflict in life.We have to be aware of thinking process. The way how we think molds our action in relationship which is life.At present one human is against another, one family against another, one country against another leading to strife and war.The only to avoid this conflict is th have love as the basis of love.If we are aware of self activity only then love and compassion arises in us.Self-inquiry leads to Self knowledge and Self knowledge has no end in vie
