Presenting research from Central and Eastern Europe to measure contaminant levels in the environment, monitor biomarkers in exposed populations, and investigate the incidence of disease, these studies are of value to health and environmental professionals as they develop strategies for remediating contaminated environments and improving public health. These results may also be used by health professionals worldwide to understand the human health impacts of a variety of industrial contaminants, and improve methods for controlling chemical exposures.
