About the Author: Andrea Laghi has been Associate Professor of Radiology at Sapienza University of Rome since 2006 and Director of Radiology Unit at I.C.O.T. Hospital, Latina, Italy since 2008. He is also Director of the Residency Program in Diagnostic Radiology at Sapienza University of Rome (2006 to the present) and a member of several international societies. Professor Laghi is the author of 366 papers in peer-reviewed journals (Impact Factor: 810; H-Index: 45), 8 textbooks, and more than 60 book chapters. His main areas of research are magnetic resonance imaging (in particular of the liver and biliary ducts, pancreas, and small bowel), MR contrast media (liver- and lymph node-specific), computed tomography, single- and multislice spiral CT (in particular of the liver, pancreas and small bowel), CT colonography/virtual colonoscopy, image post-processing, and informatics in radiology.
