About the Book

Are you ready to discover the underlying secrets hidden deep within nature-based, spiritual Magic? Would you like to understand how you can leverage ancient wisdom to magnify your deepest prayers and intentions? For centuries, spiritual seekers drawn to nature-based spiritual wisdom, have walked the Sacred Path in order to learn the mysteries of nature and the Magical traditions of our ancestors- the indigenous people from Northern European lands. Until recently, these mysteries were passed on through oral tradition from teacher to student through the practice of walking together in the forest and sharing the Magical lore. As modern times evolved, many of these mysteries have been lost... to all but a few. In Courting the Lady, Rev. Patrick McCollum takes you on a journey that shares these elusive mysteries. By literally placing the readers on the Sacred Path with him in his life's adventures of nearly fifty years ago, he reveals amazing truths about nature and the principles of spiritual Magic in the tradition of Old Way; through stories of his experiences that bring this journey to life. Venerable Reverend Patrick McCollum has walked the Sacred Path since 1965. This story begins with his near death experience at age 15 and the discoveries that lead him to become an initiate and High Priest of one of the nation's earliest covens. Patrick has worked diligently to keep alive the mysteries and magic passed down by predecessors through oral tradition for centuries. He has been active as a teacher of the Old Ways for almost fifty years and is known for his world peace work and interfaith ministry.
About the Author: Reverend Patrick McCollum is for now one of the best kept secrets in our world. Very few know that not only is he an interfaith chaplain and Wiccan Priest who carries the knowledge of the "Old Way," he has also been honored by spiritual leaders in many spiritual circles around the world. Patrick has been named the "World Inner Peace Ambassador" by Buddhist spiritual leaders in Thailand. He was an honored guest speaker at the World Culture Forum in Kazakstan 2010 where he spoke to political and spiritual leaders from over 80 countries on the importance of our harmonious connection with Nature and with each other. He has been recognized as a Saint in India and given the name 'Babaji', meaning 'Revered Father.' He has also been honored as the 'King of Peace' by renowned Tibetan Buddhist Rinpoche's in our world. He is known by Native Americans as, "He Who Speaks With the Mother" due to his work to secure indigenous sacred sites and his advocacy on behalf of native populations. In 2011 he was honored with receiving the Mahatma Gandhi Award for Religious Pluralism. Patrick built what is now globally recognized as the World Peace Violin. Constructed of diverse woods and materials collected from the sites of world conflicts and resolutions, and impregnated with materials and fragments collected from sacred sites and events connected to the peace process from around the world, the World Peace Violin was fully born on the Winter Solstice of 2012. The World Peace Violin serves as a powerful metaphor for both the beauty and diversity of our planet and for the successful integration of its religions, cultures, and peoples. The World Peace Violin represents the coming together of all peoples and cultures and the many different belief systems they represent. It stands as a powerful symbol that together, we the people of the planet have a voice, and that together with that voice, we can make beautiful music! Patrick is quickly becoming one of the foremost voices in our world on the topics of creating world peace and sustaining all people. His message inspires audiences to recognize our inherent interconnection through a common narrative, which gives us greater access to envisioning and creating a common goal: a world that works for everyone. He is changing the world by creating peace bridges between countries and people, inspiring youth, working to support women's rights, and religious equality around the world.
