About the Book

"Tenure" is a book of fiction set in Southwest Oklahoma. An independent minded, recently tenured professor, Ferrell Penn, pushes university administration to extremes when he publishes a book of student papers from his history class, "Governmnet and You". These papers expose political topics not found on the evening news. Penn had previously been censored for such controversial items. His unorthodox academic methods draw the attentio of state and federal officials, including the FBI. Through his struggle to promote truth, he discovers allies he knew nothing about and forms relationships he cvannot resist.
About the Author: A Southwest Oklahoma native, the author was educated in a small public school and worked with the family on farm jobs. His higher education toward the PhD degree in science was delayed when drafted for service in Viet Nam. The author is married and has two sons and four grandchildren. He has a wide professional background and many interesting experiences in travel.
