Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich BWL - Personal und Organisation, Note: 1,5, Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen; Standort Geislingen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel der vorliegenden Schrift ist die Darstellung motivationspsychologischer Erkenntnisse und ihre kritische Betrachtung. Darauf aufbauend sollen geeignete Maßnahmen zur Steigerung der Arbeitszufriedenheit und Arbeitsleistung abgeleitet werden. Ferner soll für die Vorstellung geworben werden, dass Leistung und Zufriedenheit als gleichberechtigte Ziele anzustreben sind (VON ROSENSTIEL, 2001, S. VII). Um ein Verständnis zu vermitteln, was sich hinter dem Begriff der Motivation und der damit zusammenhängenden Aspekte verbirgt, soll in Kapitel eins zunächst eine Einführung in die Grundlagen der Motivation erfolgen. Die Ausführungen sind deshalb bewusst sehr allgemein gehalten. Anschließend erfolgt eine Diskussion zu verschiedenen Fragen der Motivation im Kontext der beruflichen Arbeit. Die Untersuchung dieser motivationalen Aspekte bezieht sich demzufolge spezifisch auf die Situation im Betrieb. Das dritte Kapitel analysiert die Konstrukte Arbeitszufriedenheit und Arbeitsleistung, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf die Arbeitszufriedenheit gelegt wurde. Schließlich soll im letzten Kapitel eine Auseinandersetzung mit verschiedenen Möglichkeiten zur Steigerung der Arbeitszufriedenheit und Arbeitsleistung erfolgen. Diese Ausführungen sind nicht isoliert von den vorherigen Kapiteln zu sehen, da sie im Wesentlichen auf die dort beschriebenen Aspekte aufbauen und diese systematisch einbeziehen. Zu diesem Zweck finden sich bei bereits zuvor erwähnten Themenbereichen und Fachtermini entsprechende Hinweise auf das einschlägige Kapitel bzw. den Abschnitt. Dadurch soll das Nachschlagen bei etwaigen Unklarheiten erleichtert werden. Der Umfang dieses abschließenden Teils ist vergleichsweise hoch. Dies zeigt, dass hier der Schwerpunkt der Arbeit zu finden ist.
