A. UmamaheswariAppavoo Umamaheswari received the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in Pharmacy from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University Chennai. She is a recipient of Thiru Gnana Sebastian Endowment Award for securing highest in M. Pharmacy. She was offered Managemnt Gold medal by Periyar College of Pharmaceutical Sciences for girls, Tiruchirappalli. She earned the Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Technology degree from Anna University Chennai. Dr. A. Umamaheswari has served as a full-time tenured faculty as an Assistant Professor at University College of Engineering (BIT Campus), Anna University, Tiruchirappalli. She has a good number of research publications to her credit on pharmacy and technology-related topics. Dr. A. Umamaheswari authored five book chapters from her research expertise. Her areas of interest include Drug Design and Development using organic synthetic strategies and Cancer Biology. She has been given multiple presentations at National and International conferences.
