Denmark is director of the Asia Program and a senior fellow at the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and an adjunct associate professor in the Security Studies Progra of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He served as deputy assistant secretary of defense for East Asia.
