He is the author of Trauma in Public Health: Tuberculosis in Twentieth-century India (201) and Economy and Ecology in a Bengal District: Burdwan, 1880-1947 (2002). He has also edited Intellectual History: A New Understanding (1999) and co-edited Connecting Nations: Politico-cultural Mapping of India and South East Asia (2019) and History of Medicine in India: The Medical Encounter (2005).
