Ada KatzAda Katz was educated at New York University, Brooklyn College, and the University of Maryland. She was a cancer researcher at Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York before retiring to raise her son. Her marriage to Alex Katz enlarged her intellectuallife by introducing her to many artists, poets, and dancers. She was a co-founder and producer of Eye and Ear Theater, a company dedicated to producing plays by poets with sets by artists. During its ten- year existence, the theater produced plays by John Ashbery, Edwin Denby, Allen Ginsberg, Eileen Myles, Leslie Scalapino, James Schuyler, and others.
