Adam CarterSuzanne Degges-White, PhD, is professor and chair of the Department of Counseling, Adult and Higher Education at Northern Illinois University. . She is active in the Association for Adult Development and Aging (AADA). She is the author of four books xploring contemporary relationships, including Friends Forever: How Girls and Women Forge Lasting Relationships; editor of seven books addressing counseling theory and interventions; and has published over 20 refereed journal articles. Dr. Degges-White writes a blog for Psychology Today magazine and is a regular contributor on NIU's NPR radio station's Perspectives program.
