Ajay RawatAjay Rawat (PhD) is a Lecturer in Computer Science at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. Previously, he worked as a Data Engineer at the Hartree Centre (STFC, UKRI), where he worked on data and emerging technologies. He is the author of Masterin Large Language Models, forthcoming from Apress, and has contributed to several published technical book chapters. Born and raised in India, Ajay moved to the UK for work. In December 2025, he attended his first ten-day Vipassana meditation course at Dhamma Dipa in Hereford. The experience was challenging, practical, and profound enough to inspire this book. Since completing the course, he has maintained a daily meditation practice and explored how the technique applies to the ordinary pressures of work and everyday life.
