Akhil SharmaAkhil Sharma was born in Delhi in India and emigrated to the USA in 1979, where he lived in New Jersey. He studied Public Policy at Princeton and Law at Harvard Law School. After graduating in 1992, he spent a year as a Wallace Stegner fellow in ficton at Stanford.Akhil Sharma now works as an investment banker and lives in New York City. He has worked in India for United Press International and also for various grass roots development organisations.His stories have been published in the New Yorker and in Atlantic Monthly, and have been included in The Best American Short Stories and O.
