Akintunde AkinkunmiAkintunde Akinkunmi was born and brought up in Ibadan, Nigeria. Qualifying as a medical practitioner in 1986, he served shortly with the Brigade of Guards in the Nigerian Army and, upon relocating to the United Kingdom in the late 1980s, in the Britih Army for more than two decades before retiring as a senior officer in 2019. A qualified forensic psychiatrist, he is a Fellow of two Royal Colleges (The Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow) and also holds a Masters Degree in Law.
