Alan M Delamater

Alan Mark Delamater (Ph.D., Clinical Psychology, University of Georgia, 1981) is Professor of Pediatrics and Psychology and Director of Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami. He has also held teaching and research positions at the Wayne Sate University School of Medicine and the Washington University School of Medicine and Department of Psychology. He is widely published in journals, primarily on diabetes and behavioral aspects of controlling weight and diabetes, and has twice won the Lifescan Diabetes Research Award from the Society of Behavioral Medicine. He has Board Certification in Clinical Health Psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology.
