Alan Sharp

Born in 1934, Alan Sharp's career began in 1965, with the publication of his acclaimed first novel, A Green Tree in Gedde, but he completed only one more novel before migrating to Hollywood and becoming a much sought after screenwriter. Three of hs screenplays are now recognized as classics of the New American Cinema of the 1970s. Since the 1980s, he has completed film projects on Sam Peckinpah's The Osterman Weekend and Rob Roy.
