Alan SmithAfter graduating from the University of Manchester and with a research degree on Lakeland, Dr Alan Smith held posts in the Universities of Bristol and Durham. He later moved to lecture in the North Cheshire College of Higher Education (now Universit of Chester), latterly becoming Acting Principal.
