She has a PhD in Economics and Business, specialising in accounting (University of Santiago de Compostela) and a PhD in Marketing and Strategy (University of Minho), a Master's degree in Accounting and Auditing (Uniersity of Minho) and a degree in Accounting and Business Management (Polytechnic Institute of Porto). She is a Senior Lecturer at Porto Accounting and Business School of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (ISCAP-IPP) in the scientific area of Accounting. She is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (CEOS.PP) and a collaborating researcher at the CICF (Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave) and OSEAN (University of Madeira). She has been involved in several research projects in accounting area.
