Alex J. Bellamy

Alex J. Bellamy is Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies and Director of the Asia Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect at the University of Queensland, Australia. A Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, he has servedas a consultant to the United Nations, was a Non-Resident Senior Adviser at the International Peace Institute, New York, and has been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford. His most recent books include Syria Betrayed: War, Atrocities, and the Failure of International Diplomacy (2022) and World Peace (And How We Can Achieve it) (2019).
