MukasyanDr. Alexander Mukasyan is Professor of Chemical Engineering and Director Manager of the Laboratory of Advanced Electron Microscopy, ND-IIF, at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, USA. He received a PhD from The Institute of Problems of Chemcal Physics (Institute of Chemical Physics), Chernigolovka, Russia, and a DSc from the Institute of Structural Macrokinetics and Materials Science, Russian Academy of Sciences, Chernigolovka, Russia. Dr. Mukasyan's research interests include combustion of heterogeneous systems, synthesis of advanced nano materials,kinetics of rapid high-temperature reactions, and catalysis. His current work is in the areas of nanotechnology, high energy density materials, and novel alternative energy sources.
