Alexandru Volacu
Alexandru Volacu is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA) in Bucharest, Romania, with a thesis focusing on the topic of rationality in theories of distributive justice. He holdsan MA in Political Theory and Analysis, with a thesis on an experimental treatment of the Quantal Response Equilibrium and a BA in Political Science from the same university, with a thesis on the directional model of electoral competition. He is also a Teaching Assistant, holding undergraduate seminars on Political Philosophy and Parties and Electoral Systems at SNSPA. His main research interests revolve around normative and positive political theory, specifically: political philosophy, ethics, game theory, public choice theory, social choice theory, behavioral economics, the philosophy of social sciences and electoral competition. He is currently the Vicepresident and Head of the Academic Department of the International Association for Political Science Students, Editor of the Romanian Journal of Society and Politics and a member of the International Political Science Association. By June 2014 he had published over 20 scientific articles in internationally indexed journals, collective volumes or at international conferences.
