Alicia DanielssonMohammed Kayed Abdel-Haq is currently the Founding Director of the Centre for Islamic Finance at the University of Bolton and serves as the Assistant ViceChancellor for Postgraduate Developments. He also holds the position of Executive Director of th Development Office at the same university. Additionally, Professor Abdel-Haq is the Principal of the Hume Institute for Postgraduate Studies in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Professor in Banking. He fulfills the role of CEO at Oakstone Merchant Bank as well. His contributions to public service include chairing the UK Government’s Advisory Task and Finish Group on Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Licensing, with the report published in February 2019. Previously, he was a member of the Council of the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House) and, in 2011, was appointed Chairman of the UK Ministerial Advisory Group on Extremism in Universities and FE Colleges.
