Alison Jaggar Alison M. Jaggar is Professor of Philosophy and Womens Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has also taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of California at Los Angeles, and Rutgers University, where sheheld the Laurie New Jersey Chair in Womens Studies. Her books include Feminist Politics and Human Nature and Gender/Body/Knowledge: Feminist Reconstruction of Being and Knowing, coedited with Susan R. Bordo. Currently she is working on two books, Living with Contradictions: Moral Controversies in Feminism, and Toward a Feminist Conception of Practical Reason. Jaggar was a founder member of the Society for Women in Philosophy and is past chair of the American Philosophical Association Committee on the Status of Women.
