Allister Sparks
Allister Sparks was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for his reporting of racial unrest in South Africa during 1985 and won Britain’s David Blundy Award for foreign reporting in the same year. In 1992, Sparks founded the Institute for Advanced Journlism, in association with the University of the Witwatersrand, to upgrade the standard of journalism in South Africa.
