Ally WoodardAlly Woodard became passionate about human rights at the age of nine when she was selected as an Ambassador for UNESCO's Art Miles Mural Project and Art Miles Shoes of Hope. She has traveled to Haiti, Mexico, the Philippines, India and China to delivr shoes, supplies, and work with children on art therapy projects. She has produced several documentaries, including Saving the Children, which chronicles her initial visit to Casa Hogar Elim, an orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. It was there that she first met Mama Lupita, the heroine of this book. These experiences have served as inspiration for her TEDx and UN International Peace Day speeches, and have led to recognition from the White House Project and The Esperanza Learning Foundation of San Diego.
