Amal MahmoudAmal Mahmoud, PhD, is a Professor of Bioinformatics, Head of the Department of Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Institute (GEBRI), University of Sadat City, Egypt, previously worked as a Professor of Bioinfrmatics, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia (2017-2022). She had a PhD fellowship in CIRAD-Montpellier, France (1995-1998) and previously worked at UC-Davis-CA as a post-doc (2001-2002) in the field of viral bioinformatics. She teaches undergraduate and graduate bioinformatics, genetics, molecular biology, gene regulation and virology as well as supervises research students.
