Ambrose McGuineAmbrose McGuine (rhymes with wine) is in fact David and Valerie Atkinson, a husband and wife writing team. Both graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and worked in the St. Paul Public Schools. Snowplow Polka was inspired by the man colorful characters and welcoming locales they have encountered in northwest Wisconsin on umpteen trips to visit relatives and friends.
