Anderea MoraraAnderea Nyaboga Morara started writing early. He won several literary prizes while in primary, secondary and high school. While in school, he often wrote letters and articles to the popular publications of the time such as Drum Magazine and Daily Naton. After his Form 6, at Maseno National School, one of his teachers advised him to study Literature and Philosophy at University. However, while at the University he majored in Economics. He undertook postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, Japan and Canada. After graduation, he joined the Civil Service as an Economist/Statistician. Nonetheless, the writing genie saw him change jobs until he found himself at the Nation Newspapers, where he rose to the position of Business Editor, before trying his hand at senior management positions. He has held several senior positions including being the Executive Director of Kenya Institute of Management, Assistant Director ActionAid-Kenya, and Head of Corporate Planning at the Kenya Wildlife Service, among others. Currently, as a development/management consultant and part-time university lecturer, he often finds time to write. He has written widely including journalistic articles, a novel, several children's books and management articles/books. His favourite diversion is on cultural and geopolitical issues.He established a museum of African traditional culture in 2021, as a part of a tourist resort that is premised on African culture, particularly Gusii traditional culture.
