Andrew HurleyAndrew Hurley is Professor Emeritus of Translation and English and American Literature, College of Humanities, University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras. For the last forty years he has also been a translator of Latin American and Peninsular Spanish liteature, with more than sixty booklength novels and story collections published by leading U.S. and U.K. publishing houses, in addition to many volumes of academic studies in literary criticism, history, and architecture. Among the dozens of authors he has translated are Jorge Luis Borges (Collected Fictions and The Book of Imaginary Beings), Ernesto Sabato, Rubén Darío (for Penguin Classics), Reinaldo Arenas (the Pentagony and others), Margo Glantz, Gustavo Saínz, Arturo Pérez-Reverte, Zoé Valdés, Ana Lydia Vega, and Edgardo Rodríguez Juliá.
