Andrew S. BombackDr. Bomback received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Nephrology and Clinical Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,where he was the Doc J. Thurston III Fellow in Nephrology and Hypertension. In 2009, he returned to Columbia University as an associate at the Center for Glomerular Diseases. Dr. Bomback has published over 40 articles and book chapters on the subjects of chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular disease, with a specific focus on hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and glomerular diseases. He received the 2008 Alpha Omega Alpha Editor’s Prize for his writing on kidney disease. He currently serves on the steering and publications committees for the National Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP).
