These early years in education paved the way for her move to Los Angeles in the mid 1980's for film and television roles. She found part-time roles while teaching, tutoring and mentoring at-risk youth, her true calling. It was by tutoring kids in her one-bedroom apartment on Wilton Boulevard that she realized she could find more meaning and have a greater impact.Her vision and leadership in the development of Educating Young Minds (EYM) an after-school tutorial and enrichment program and Access/ No Excuse (ANE), an education, career guided digital platform, reshaped the way EYM students were educated post pandemic, providing 24/7 on-line access to a STEM based curriculum in English and Spanish.
