Angelo Baca
Dr Angelo Baca (Diné/Hopi) is a cultural activist, scholar, filmmaker and public lands advocate at Rhode Island School of Design's History, Philosophy, and Social Sciences Department. His primary research focuses on the tribally-ed initiative of the Bears Ears National Monument. His research interests include Indigenous international repatriation, food sovereignty, public lands, and protection of sacred lands. He is committed to collaborative research with Indigenous communities, empowering traditional knowledge keepers in stewarding stories and landscapes. He is deeply dedicated to Western and Indigenous knowledge on equal and respectful terms.
