ANIL C. ANAND has worked for 38 years in the Armed Forces Medical Services--as a physician, gastroenterologist, liver transplant physician, professor of Medicine at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and finally as Chief Consultan and Director General. Currently, he is Senior Consultant (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi and is the President of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. Apart from over 300 professional and original research papers, he has also been writing in medical journals, about the life and times in the medical profession with self-deprecating humour.
