Ann N. BlackAnn N. Black, graduated from Northwestern University, where she received a B.S. from the School of Communication, then worked as an actress, writer, and producer of children's radio dramas. After acquiring a Texas Secondary Teaching Certificat in Language Arts, she taught English to 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students and developed Readers Theatre projects for them. Her experiences from directing, teaching, and writing led her to a M.A. in English and Oral Interpretation from the University of North Texas, then to an assistant professorship of literature and creative writing at Northwestern State University of Louisiana.
