Annabelle M ArmstrongSince she was sixteen, Annabelle Armstrong has been writing for newspapers, first in her hometown of Greenville, Mississippi, with the renowned publisher-editor Hodding Carter Jr. and later with the Advocate in Baton Rouge. After taking early retiremnt in 1986, she began writing across the area as a freelancer. In her sixth decade of journalism, a resident of Baton Rouge who has earned numerous journalistic awards, she continues to share subjects and sites with readers. A graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and recipient of its Alumni Distinguished Service Award, she works part time at the Louisiana State Archives.
