Antonino Cannata
Antonino Cannata is a classical archaeologist specialising in Hellenistic and Roman material culture and, since 2017, Director of the Centro Studi Aditus in Rupe. He conducts research on landscape archeology and coordinates projects on rock-cut sites in south-eastern Sicily, including the excavation of the tomb of Aristomenes and topographical studies at Cugno Martino and Cugno Case Vecchie (Syracuse). He has participated in excavation campaigns in collaboration with the University of Catania and the National Research Council (CNR) and has published extensively on urban archaeology, rural surveys, material culture, and exchanges from the Late Imperial period to the Middle Ages.
