Arlando Tray JonesArlando "Tray" Jones, III is serving a life sentence at the Jessup Correctional Institution in Maryland. While in prison, Tray has educated himself through a program offered by Coppin State University, graduating cum laude with a B.A. degree in Applid Psychology. He went on to take an extensive college-level curriculum in the Humanities through the JCI Scholars Program. He is the author of Eager Street: A Life on the Corner and Behind Bars (2010), and he was featured in Dr. Drew Leder's book, The Soul Knows No Bars (2009). He hopes his story convinces people, including young urban men, that life on the corner dealing in crime and violence is not glamorous, but a ticket to a life behind bars.
