Armen GakavianArmen Gakavian is passionate about personal and community transformation and is a Pastoral Supervisor. His PhD was in Armenian cultural identity and longing for place. He has lectured in sociology, politics, social ethics, social change and leadershi, and has worked as a researcher at Macquarie University and for NGOs in social inclusion, social policy, faith-based social services and multiculturalism. Armen co-founded the Centre for Comparative Genocide Studies at Macquarie University, the Leadership School in Armenia and several NGOs. He has co-led student faith groups and was a volunteer leader and mentor with The Salvation Army in a housing estate in Sydney. Armen is a freelance editor and for nine years was Coordinating Editor for Ethos: EA Centre for Christianity and Society. He is the co-founder of Neighbourhood Matters and At the Edges Publishing.
