Asghari BanoDr. Asghari Bano is a Professor of Biosciences at the University of Wah, Pakistan, and currently resides in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. She earned her Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from the University of Glasgow, UK, following an M.Sc. in Plant Physiolgy, Microbiology, and Plant Pathology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Over her distinguished career spanning more than 37 years, she has held key academic and leadership positions, including Dean, Chairperson, and Professor at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. She has completed prestigious postdoctoral fellowships in Germany (Alexander von Humboldt Fellow), the USA (Fulbright Fellow), and Canada, with research focused on plant physiology, root nodulation, plant–microbe interactions, bioactive metabolites, allelopathy, and nanotechnology. Dr. Bano has authored an extensive body of peer-reviewed publications, contributed book chapters, and supervised numerous postgraduate theses, significantly advancing knowledge in plant sciences.
