Ashley Russell was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, by her mom, Alicia Sell. After graduating from film school in 2008, Ashley worked as a Costume Designer in the film and television industry for over a decade. She now resides in Portland, regon, with her partner Noah Rael, their dog Darby, and cat Boo. Her favorite writers include Kathleen Hanna, Joan Didion, and Julia Wertz. Her favorite cookbooks include The Betty Crocker Cookbook, Foraged and Grown, and her Nana's recipe box.
