Athanasios PapadopoulosAthanasios Papadopoulos received his degree in Physics from the Department of Physics of the University of Patras (1994). He completed his MSc in Medical Physics at University of Surrey (UK). He received his PhD from the Department of Medical Physicsfrom University of Ioannina, Greece (2006). He is serving as a radiation physicist in the Department of Nuclear medicine of University Hospital of Ioannina, Greece. He is a member of the research group of the “Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas / Biomedical Research Institute” and the Unit of Medical Technology and Intelligent Information Systems. His major research interests include medical image processing, medical decision support, computer-aided detection and diagnosis, machine learning and data mining. Lately his work is related to the use of vital signs of the human body, their analysis and use of intelligent methods for diagnosis or prognosis.
