Awilda N RiveraAwilda N. Rivera is a success coach, Yogi, and spiritual advisor. Growing up in New York City, she was no stranger to urine-stained elevators, the effects of drug addiction, or the impact of AIDS. So she focused on changing her circumstances. After gaduating from the Middlesex School with honors and receiving the 2002 Warburg Poetry Prize, she majored in international relations at Wesleyan University. She is the first in her family to graduate college. After earning her law degree from Rutgers, she suffered a health crisis and realized she was pursuing someone else's definition of success. Her recovery set her on an entrepreneurial journey to explore what success truly means. A proud Puerto Rican, Rivera lives in Atlanta with two cats, two dogs, and a beautiful stepdaughter. She likes teaching yoga, meditating, playing squash, and watching movies.
