Babak J. MehraraDr Babak Mehrara is the Chief of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service in the Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr Mehrara obtained his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeon and completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at New York University. He then completed a fellowship in microsurgery with William W. Shaw at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Mehrara's clinical expertise includes microsurgical and alloplastic breast reconstruction, complex head and neck reconstruction, and lymphedema. Dr. Mehrara is also the director of the Lymphedema Research Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering and has a deep interest in developing novel treatments for this disease. Read More Read Less
