Bahar AkpinarGraduated at the top of Dokuz Eylul University's Fine Arts Faculty in Izmir, Turkey upon completing her BA in Playwriting and Dramaturgy, she was accepted by the University of Glasgow for postgraduate study. In 2012, she gained Master of Letters degre in Playwriting and Dramaturgy with her research on the exploration of the relation between language and gender in theatre by focusing on Caryl Churchill's playwriting. During her postgraduate study at the University of Glasgow, she was awarded the University Trust International Leadership Scholarship and Catherine Carswell Bursary Award. Bahar Akpınar won Suat Taşer National Playwriting Award two times with her plays On Other Lands and Schrodinger's Box. Her plays, On Other Lands and Onega's Knots were performed in İzmir, Istanbul was performed in a play reading event in Glasgow. Her articles and critics on theatre have been published in some art magazines and web portals.
