Bankim Chandra Ray

Professor Ray is currently “Prof. S. S. Pani Chair Professor” at the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, India. He has been working at NIT Rourkela since 1989. Prof. Ray’s research entres on the impact of extreme environmental conditions on fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites. Dr. Ray has been selected by UNESCO and the Australian Expert Committee for Industries in the Asia-Pacific region based on SCI. He has been serving as a technical advisor to TATA Steel Limited (New Materials Business). He has been serving as the editor of a SCI Journal-Transactions of the Indian Institute of Metals (TIIM) Journal. Prof. Ray holds many distinguished chairs in reputed institutions and committees across the country. He has also supervised 20 PhD scholars. Prof. Ray has published more than 175 SCI Journals and 7 Books (CRC, Elsevier, Springer and Wiley publishing houses), and involved in 25 sponsored projects & consultancy services from various government and leading private industries.
